1. Follow a low calorie diet - 1400 calories per day
2. Follow a low fat diet - 29% of calories from fat
3. Track what you eat - Keep a food diary at least a few days each week
4. Monitor weight - Weight yourself at least one time each week
5. Eat breakfast daily
6. Eat In - Dine out less 2.5 meals per week
7. Limit Fast Food - Consume less than 1 fast-food meal per week
8. Minimize TV viewing - 62% watch 10 hours or fewer of TV weekly
9. Exercise Daily -Participate in one hour per day of moderate intensity physical activity
