Ethel Larsen, Physical Therapist Ethel joined the Sports Medicine Center staff in 1988. A native of Hancock, she is a graduate of the University of Michigan Physical Therapy program. She settled in Petoskey in 1983 with her husband, Bill, a Pathologist Assistant. They have two grown children. Ethel is a long-time member of the Northern Michigan Chorale, a founding member of the Friends of the Petoskey Public Library, and a volunteer with Hospice of Little Traverse Bay. Ethel provides rehabilitation for a variety of orthopaedic conditions seen at the clinic. In addition, she has a special interest is women's health issues. Ethel regularly provides an instructional presentation about Self Care for Bladder Control at the Community Health Education Center, and has developed an 8 week Exercise for Osteoporosis class. |

Sandy Willoughby, Physical Therapist, CSCS Sandy joined NMSMC in 2006 after moving here from the Ann Arbor area. She finished her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in 1992 and has been in outpatient orthopedics since that time. Sandy became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2002. As a mother of two, Sandy has a special interest in helping women during their childbearing years by offering prenatal and postpartum exercise classes and treating any pregnancy/postpartum physical therapy clients. She is currently living in the Brutus area with her husband and two daughters enjoying small farming, camping, hiking, and snowshoeing. |

Suzanne Howard, Physical Therapist Suzanne has been part of the NMSMC family since 1996. Suzanne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University in 1981. Suzanne has worked in an outpatient orthopaedic setting since graduation with an emphasis on manual therapy and orthopaedic rehabilitation. She enjoys attending continuing education courses to learn the many aspects of her profession. Suzanne has experience in vestibular rehabilitation, Strain Counterstrain, and Cranial Sacral Technique. Her main interests are Rotator Cuff Rehabilitation, Joint Replacement, Back Care, Neck Pain and Cervical Dysfunction and Rehabilitation. She presents a Back Educational seminar several times a year. Suzanne enjoys many outdoor activities in Northern Michigan. |

Amy Bartling, Certified Athletic Trainer Amy has a degree in Sports Medicine from Central Michigan University. She is a certified personal trainer through the National strength and Conditioning Association and is a certified massage therapist specializing in medical massage. Amy lives in Charlevoix with her husband, Kris, and children, Kristopher and Lauren. |

Patty Schmoldt, Certified Athletic Trainer, CSCS Patty is a native of northern Michigan, growing up in the area and graduating from Boyne City High School. After high school, she attended Central Michigan University where she earned her Sports Medicine Degree and became a Certified Athletic Trainer. Patty worked in the Detroit Metro area providing clinical rehabilitation and high school athletic event coverage before returning to Northern Michigan in 2001. When she isn't covering PHS athletic events, Patty enjoys playing hockey and softball as well as mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, camping, horseback riding, and snowmobiling. |

Nicole Hibbler, Massage Therapist, Physical Therapy Aide Nicole is a native of Harbor Springs and Petoskey. She is a graduate of Harbor Springs High School and started working at the Sports Medicine Center in September 2001. Nicole is a certified Red Cross Instructor for CPR, First Aid, AED and holds a Pool and Spa Operator certification. She is also certified massage therapist specializing in medical massage. Nicole treasures working with patients and her co-workers. |

Holly Stanek, Physical Therapy Aide Holly is a native of the Boyne City/East Jordan area. She graduated from Boyne City High School in 2007. Holly currently is a full time student at NCMC pursuing her associates in business. She enjoys working on her family's dairy farm, kayaking, camping, playing basketball, softball, and spending time with friends and family. |

Micheline Wynkoop, Office Manager Micheline joined our team in March of 2002 with an Associate of Science and Business degree and over 20 years of experience in Accounting and Billing. Born in Canada and raised on the island of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea, she was very proud to become a citizen of the United States in 1993. Micheline has two daughters: Sabrina is the Human Resources Coordinator at Odawa Casino in Petoskey and Tanya attends Northern Michigan University, in Marquette, MI. Micheline enjoys hiking, biking and reading. |

Penny Davis, Billing Manager Penny is a great addition to our staff. She was born and raised in Petoskey. She has been in our billing office since 2004. Penny enjoys family time with her husband, Randy and two children, Eden and Tanner. She is also a member of the Northern Michigan Cancer Crusaders. Penny is on the go all the time keeping up with her children’s athletic events and her fund raising efforts for the Northern Michigan Cancer Crusaders. |

Connie Smith, Front Office Manager Connie is a native of Stamford, Connecticut and is a graduate of Stamford Catholic High School and the Berkeley Secretarial School in White Plains, New York. Connie's two children are both graduates of Petoskey High School. Christopher is a graduate of Michigan Tech University and is working for IBM in Boulder, Colorado. Michelle is a graduate of Lake Superior State University and is working in Charlevoix in the sales department at Charlevoix Screenmasters. Connie and her husband, Bob, live in Petoskey and enjoy spending time with their yellow lab, "Katie", skiing, and traveling. |

Margaret Bowers, Marketing Director Margaret joined the Sports Medicine Center team in November 1999. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a major in Marketing, from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida. Margaret heads the marketing responsibilities for 7 clinic location of Northern Michigan Sports Medicine Center. She enjoys community volunteering, and has completed the Leadership Little Traverse program. Margaret and her husband, Peter, and their son, John, moved to Petoskey to enjoy the great outdoors of northern Michigan. |
