Rogers City Staff

Roberta Hyder, Physical Therapist

Roberta graduated from the University of Michigan physical therapy masters program in 1998.  She has worked in the Detroit and Ann Arbor areas doing a combination of outpatient and inpatient physical therapy, industrial rehabilitation and balance/dizziness testing.  Roberta specializes in vestibular rehabilitation therapy and has incorporated that into her treatments at Rogers City Physical Therapy.  She has also taken courses in myofascial release, muscle energy, and shoulder rehabilitation.  She and her husband relocated to Northern Michigan in 2001, where he is from originally.  Roberta grew up in North Canton, Ohio and moved to Ann Arbor for schooling.  She is now enjoying the more relaxed pace of Up north Michigan.  Activities she enjoys include traveling, cooking, bike riding, gardening, archery, big band and folk music, star gazing, bird watching and renovating their old farm house. 

 


Renae Moltane,  Registered Occupational Therapist

  Renae graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.  She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.  She is currently working at both Indian River Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine and Rogers City Physical Therapy as a full time registered occupational therapist.  She is pursuing certification in hand therapy, and taking the appropriate course work.  Renae has completed a competency exam for thermal agent modalities and splinting.  Past experiences include work at an inpatient acute mental health ward and drug rehab unit.  Being a native of Rogers City, she is excited to return to Northern Michigan with her husband.  Renae enjoys hunting, fishing, playing softball, golfing and boating.

 


Luann

Luann Basel, Front Desk Manager-Physical Therapy Aide

Luann started with Northern Michigan Sports Medicine Center in June 2004.  She has both front desk and therapy aide responsibilities at the Rogers City Physical Therapy clinic.  She comes to us after working for the Hillman Community Schools as an aide/Title 1 assistant for several years. For the last 20 years, she has been the bookkeeper for Green Valley Farm.  She is certified in CPR/AED training.  In the past she has completed the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification.  She and her husband own and operate a dairy farm in the Hillman area.  They have three sons (Paul, Luke and Adam) ages ranging from teenage to young adult.  She enjoys four-wheeling, snowmobiling, ice fishing, needlework, farming, watching two of her sons’ dirt bike race and being involved with Hillman School’s athletic programs.


Dee Cohoon, Physical Therapist Aide

Dee join the staff in August 2005.  She and hubby retired in Montmorency County in 1992.  They came from Clarkston, MI where they both graduated.  Dee attended Dorsey Business School for data processing and Oakland Community College to study accounting.  She worked for GM in data processing before starting a family of two boys, and now has two grandsons.  She also worked for Easter Seals for 19 years in a variety of departments including therapy aide work and in accounting.  Dee volunteers in township activities, church, Knights of Columbus auxiliary, and is township treasurer and a notary.  She loves people, animals, golfing, handwork and having fun!!  Her motto is “if it’s not fun, try something else”.

Pam Bullock, Physical Therapist Aide

Pam comes to us after four years as a teacher assistant and previous to that, fifteen years as an emergency 911 dispatcher.  She is also certified in Heartsaver first aid, adult/child/infant CPR and AED.  Pam and her husband, Steve, moved to Rogers City eight years ago from the Brighton area.  They have two wonderful daughters, Victoria and Camryn.  Pam enjoys family and friends, trail riding, driving draft horses, cooking and gardening.

Pat Zwolinski, Physical Therapist Aide

Pat has worked as a physical therapy aide/front desk help for a number of years either part-time or full-time.  She started out in the old hospital in Rogers City in 1978 and moved across the street to the present location with the rest of the staff when the hospital closed in 1993.  She “tried to retire” for three years and was persuaded to come back.  Pat and her husband, Clarence, have been a presence in the clinic in a variety of ways with Clarence previously being our “handy man”.  They now enjoy traveling from boating with lake boats to touring overseas in the Middle East.  They participate in a variety of activities from bread making, woodworking, sewing and volunteer work.  They also have lots of children and grandchildren to keep her busy.
